Ni lagu ada di trek pertama untuk “lagu sepanjang jaman” versi C` Mel. Pertama kali denger lagu ni dinyanyikan oleh seorang perjaka butut diiringi gitar yang juga butut di sebuah rumah sarang jin yang nyaris ambruk. Penasaran sama versi aslinya, aku surfing ke tempat rental cd bajakan.

Sampainya di kos, cd bajakan itu langsung ku pasang ke cdrom. Dan saat itu, saat mas Richard mulai bernyanyi di speaker Sanexku, saat matahari berada di tempat paling tinggi dan membakar kepalaku, saat aku pusing kepanasan, saat kucing di luar kamar berisik ngeong – ngeong merayu betinanya, saat itu, cupid yang sejak awal mengikutiku diam – diam dari tempat uji nyali tadi, mengeluarkan busurnya dan mengambil ancang – ancang. Dengan power penuh dilemparnya busur itu lurus langsung menghajar kupingku.

Aku jatuh cinta pada pendengaran pertama. Nuansanya itu loh, melow buanget, membuat cinta serasa berarti. Panas terik tiba – tiba serasa suam – suam kuku. Ngeongnya kucing minta kawin serasa suara backing vocal. Gombalannya mas Richard ni selalu bisa memecahkan emosiku. Dan sejak pertemuan kami yang pertama, dirinya selalu ku cari, terutama saat aku lagi sedih, sepi, sendiri, stres dan frustasi.
